What is cloud computing?

Cloud computing is a way to deliver abstracted compute and storage resources over the internet on an on-demand, metered basis. It is highly scalable, and typically allows users to obtain as much or as few resources as they need on a dynamic basis. It consists of three parts: Infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, and software as a service.

Where will my data be located?

CloudCentral guarantees that we will retain your data within either of our two Australian Government approved data centres (TransACT and Equinix) which are located in Canberra and Sydney.

Will I have access to my data and applications?

You will have full and immediate access from any location, at any time, within the framework of secure authentication and authorization. You can access your applications and data just as if they were located in your own office.

Who can benefit from cloud computing?

Anybody from start-ups and small businesses, to established larger enterprises can benefit from the cloud model. In addition to corporate users, Cloud Central's services are an ideal starting place for entrepreneurs that are branching out into the SaaS market, as well as ISPs looking to offer a wider array of services to their customers. VARs and system integrators can also make profitable use of Cloud Central's infrastructure and platform to deliver valuable services to their own customers; and service retailers can offer services on a private-label basis.

Is cloud computing secure?

Cloud computing from Cloud Central is just as secure as on-premises configurations, and in many ways, even more secure. Remote access is governed by authentication and authorization processes. Constant monitoring, tracking and auditing ensures that our staff can respond to any situation within seconds; and our defense-in-depth strategy includes multiple layers of security to guard against any sort of attack.

What about physical security?

Cloud Central provides the best physical security available in its data centre. In fact, your data and applications are probably more secure here than they would be in your own facility. We follow recommended security protocols, establishing tight physical security, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed to access the equipment, and that a complete audit trail is kept at all times.

How do you protect against downtime and service outage?

We know that your data and applications are essential to your business, and we are well equipped to fulfill our service level guarantees in this regard. We protect our servers against power outages with a UPS backup followed by a backup diesel generator to ensure continued service in case of a utility outage. RAID protection is employed for al disk subsystems to protect against disk failure, and load balancing is employed to ensure that even if a server is taken offline, the data and applications being served will continue uninterrupted.

Is there a Service Level Agreement (SLA)?

CloudCentral CloudServers come with a %99.95 availability SLA for applications deployed within a single zone. CloudServers are highly available within a single zone, if a node in our cluster fails, your CloudServer will be automatically re-started on another node in our cluster. Our SLA is backed by real penalties including service credits which incent us to ensure your systems are available to support your business.

Higher SLA's up to %99.999 can be achieved by deploying across our two Australian Government approved data centres in a geo-redundant configuration. Contact one of expert solution architects for information on multi zone, highly available geo-redundant deployments. This is the same type of architecture that Internet giants Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google use to provide 24x7x365 world-wide service availability.

How long have you been in business?

CloudCentral has been in business since 2009, making us one of Australias oldest, most established and experienced providers of cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).

Hundreds of Australian and International business customres rely on CloudCentral to provide 24x7x365 services to support service delivery to their employees and customers.
